Get an additional £300 contribution when you choose our 50 plus plan Funeral Benefit Option
The Funeral Benefit Option is where you choose to have the lump sum of your 50 plus plan paid automatically towards the cost of your funeral. By selecting this in your 50 Plus application you will receive an extra £300 contribution to help your family even more.
Please be aware that if you have already taken out the Funeral Benefit Option on a previous plan, you may not be able to take out this option on further plans.
More on the Funeral Benefit Option.
Simply select the Funeral Benefit Option when you apply for your 50 Plus plan This works by letting you ‘charge’ your plan to Dignity so that when you pass away your cash lump sum can be paid directly to Dignity to be used towards your funeral costs.
Dignity will send a Welcome Pack to you within 28 days. In this you will find all the details you need to know about the Funeral Benefit Option including a Funeral Organiser pack to pass to your Next of Kin to ensure they know what to do when the time comes.
Your family will only need to make one call to Dignity when the time comes. A Dignity Funeral Director that your family uses will be paid automatically from your cash lump sum and Dignity will add the extra £300 contribution.
If your funeral costs less than the cash lump sum from your 50 Plus plan, Dignity will reduce your funeral costs by £300 and the difference will be paid to your estate.
If your 50 Plus plan cash lump sum plus the extra £300 contribution does not cover the funeral costs, your Funeral Organiser will need to pay the outstanding amount at the time of the funeral.
